Perhaps the biggest anticipated Starbucks drink release each year is the holiday drinks! For many coffee lovers, the season is not complete without a Starbucks Peppermint Mocha or Chestnut Praline Latte accompanying holiday shopping trips.
Unlike with their release of the Pumpkin Spice Latte, Starbucks is very secretive when it comes to the availability date of their holiday lineup. On a September 26, 2022 post, Instagram user Markie_devo revealed the menu and release date, an unnamed Starbucks barista being their source.
Drumroll please....the alleged 2022 Starbucks Holiday Beverage menu:
Peppermint Mocha - "Signature espresso combined with milk, Mocha Sauce and Peppermint syrup, topped with whipped cream and dark Chocolate Curls."
Caramel Brulée Latte - "Signature espresso, milk and rich Caramel Brulée Sauce finished with whipped cream and Caramel Brulée topping."
Sugar Cookie Almondmilk Latte - "Sugar Cookie syrup combined with Starbucks Blonde Espresso and almondmilk topped with red and green sprinkles."
Toasted White Chocolate Mocha - Signature espresso paired with flavors of caramelized white chocolate combined with milk, topped with whipped cream and festive Toasted White Chocolate Pearls."
Chestnut Praline Latte - "Signature espresso, milk, Chestnut Praline syrup, topped with whipped cream and Chestnut Praline Topping."
Irish Cream Cold Brew - "Starbucks Cold Brew with Irish Cream syrup, topped with a cloud of Irish Cream Cold Foam and a hint of cocoa powder topping."
Markie_devo writes that the holiday drinks will be available starting Wednesday, November 2nd and that red cups will arrive November 17th.
The comment section of the post is filled with Starbucks fans outraged over the fact that there are no new drinks on the menu. Others are upset that that the Gingerbread Latte and Eggnog Latte won't be making a return this year. Honestly, there are few comments of Instagram users that feel positively about the menu!
But, according to other sources, such as Hypebae.com, there will be two new drinks on the lineup. The October 31, 2022 article alleges that "Toffee Nut Cream Cold Brew, infused with vanilla syrup and topped with a toffee nut cream foam and a dash of toffee nut sprinkles", and "Praline Cookie Hot Chocolate, made up of mocha sauce poured through steamed milk and combined with buttery, baked cookie flavors and complete with caramelized almond, hazelnut and walnut", are two new drinks that will be added to the menu this year.
With no official announcement from Starbucks regarding the 2022 holiday menu, we have to wait and see what the week brings!
UPDATE 11/2/22 9:40 AM EST: Starbucks has made their official announcement about the holiday drinks! Markie_devo's post was mostly correct, other than the date of arrival. Peppermint Mocha, Caramel Brulée Latte, Toasted White Chocolate Mocha, Chestnut Praline Latte, and Irish Cream Cold Brew will be available beginning Thursday, November 3rd!
