Chocolate-Caramel Pretzel Apple Bites

You know those snack moments when you want something fun but can’t bear the idea of a kitchen project that requires both time and patience? These caramel pretzel apple bites have you covered. They’re ready in 30 minutes, max. There’s no caramel-cooking, no apple-dunking drama, and zero sticky situations—just a quick assembly line of fresh granny smith apple slices, crunchy pretzels, and your favorite caramel-chocolate candy (shoutout to the oh-so-melty Caramellos).

In under half an hour, you’ll have a tray of bite-sized caramel apple “sandwiches” that are practically begging to be devoured. All in one go, you get caramel apple vibes—minus the sticky hands and caramel drip. It’s dessert-meets-snack perfection, and yes, they’re as poppable as they are addicting. And hey, you can feel a little bit virtuous since they have fruit involved, right?

Perfect for All Ages (and Instagram Grids!)

With their bright green apples, glossy caramel, and pretzel “lids,” these bites bring serious social media charm. Perfect for everything from weekend movie snacks to holiday gatherings, they’re adored by kids and adults alike. They’re also a great solution for anyone who finds caramel apples slightly intimidating but still wants all that classic fall flavor.

Ingredients

  • Pretzel snaps

  • Cadbury Caramellos

  • Caramel Sauce ( (we chose Ghirardelli caramel sauce)

  • 1 Granny smith apple cut into flat chunks

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 250 degrees F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper

  2. Cut your Cadbury Caramellos in half (a whole one is too much and will overflow)

  3. Lay out the pretzel snaps on your baking sheets, then top half of them with your halved Cadbury Caramellos (the other half of pretzels will be used in step 6)

  4. Chop your granny smith apple into flat chunks, then set aside.

  5. Bake the sheet of pretzels with Caramellos for 2-3 minutes, then immediately press a piece of apple on top of each softened Caramello.

  6. Set the baking sheet in the freezer for 5-10 minutes to firm the Caramellos back up. (optional)

  7. In the meantime, top the other half of pretzels with a dollop of caramel drizzle (we chose Ghirardelli caramel sauce)

  8. Remove the baking sheet from the freezer. Top each apple with the caramel drizzled pretzels to create a sandwich.

  9. Enjoy these while they’re soft and gooey, or let cool to room temperature before serving!
