If you like Hawaiian pizza, you're in luck!
We all know the great debate over pineapple on pizza. Some people don't even consider it an option - how could it even be a debate to consume something so ridiculous? Some people, myself included, believe this sweet and savory combination is the best way to enjoy a pizza. However, this age-old conversation is something Pepsi will soon address head-on.
Pepsi unveiled it's releasing a pineapple-flavored concoction available only at Little Ceasars. Beginning July 17th, the pizza place will be the exclusive home to the unique fruit-based cola.
Upon release, Pepsi Pineapple will be available as a part of a "Pineapple Pair-Up" combo that includes a 16-ounce can of the soda and a two-topping thin crust pizza. When ordered through the Little Caesars app or website, the combo will retail for $9.99.
According to the chief marketing officer of Little Caesars, Greg Hamilton, “Together with Pepsi, we’re satisfying ALL pineapple lovers, regardless of how they feel about it as a pizza topping. The Pineapple Pair-Up Combo gives our customers an exclusive opportunity to enjoy the tropical taste on their Thin Crust pizza, in their Pepsi or both.”
This may not be the first time you’ve had a Pepsi Pineapple, though. The original debut was in the summer of 2020. This time around, you will need to head to a Little Caesars to get your hands on it, and its newly designed co-branded can.
So, if your pineapple cravings come with a side of pizza, Pepsi's got your back!
However, pineapple isn't the first experimental Pepsi flavor. While Pepsi doesn't mess with its regular formula, it has introduced some unusual flavors.
The beverage company has a long history of trying out flavors, which include: Pepsi Lime, Pepsi Berry, and Pepsi Mango, as well as some delightfully strange flavors, like Pepsi Peeps and Pepsi Apple Pie.
While some of its unique flavors have gone over well, others have been massive fails. Could Pineapple Pepsi be the fun flavor to simply try once - or will it stand the test of time?
