Pumpkin Spice Crescent Turnovers

Recipe from Curd is The Word

Ingredients:

  • 1 tube (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent rolls

  • 1 cup pumpkin purée (not pumpkin pie filling)

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger

  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves (optional for extra spice)

  • 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar

  • 1 to 2 tablespoons 2% milk

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Unroll the crescent dough and separate into four rectangles; place them on an ungreased baking sheet. Press the perforations to seal the dough completely.

  2. Mix the pumpkin filling: In a small bowl, combine the pumpkin purée, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves. This will create a rich, spiced filling perfect for fall.

  3. Fill the dough: Place about 1/4 cup of the pumpkin filling on one half of each rectangle. Fold the other half over the filling and pinch the edges to seal.

  4. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the turnovers are golden brown.

  5. Make the glaze: In a small bowl, mix the confectioners' sugar with enough milk to reach a drizzling consistency.

  6. Drizzle and serve: Once the turnovers have slightly cooled, drizzle the glaze over the top. Serve warm for the ultimate fall treat!
